Sport Change
Project

We are not an agency. We do not make empty promises.
We are the sports bridge between Spanish talent and the American college system.

We connect Spanish basketball players with more than 250 American colleges and universities. We evaluate, select, and connect. The decision always belongs to the player and her family.

Our mission

Why Sport Change Project exists

The American college system is one of the greatest opportunities available to a Spanish basketball player. But it is also one of the hardest to navigate without real guidance.

Sport Change Project was built to be that bridge. Not from an office, but from the court. From direct evaluation, deep knowledge of the system, and real relationships with the institutions that matter.

The majority path is not NCAA Division I. It is Junior College. And understanding that before making the leap is the difference between earning a scholarship and coming home empty-handed.

Honesty

If the level is not there for a scholarship, we say so. We do not sell illusions. We sell real evaluation and real connections.

Sports criteria

Ángel Jareño evaluates every player in person. No algorithms, no forms. Just eyes on the court.

Real network

More than 250 colleges contacted. Institutional relationships built over time and hard work — not promises.

Transparency

We do not charge commissions to universities. We do not intervene in negotiations. The process is clear from start to finish.

The team

The people behind the project

Ángel Sanz
General Director

A player formed in the Real Madrid academy with experience in the NCAA (University of Houston), Ángel Sanz knows the American system from the inside — as a player who lived it. He later became director of Spartan Race Spain, building a strong track record as a leader in sport and entrepreneurship. That dual vision — elite sport and management — is the strategic engine of Sport Change Project.

Ángel Jareño
Sports Director

A Senior Sports Coach with more than 45 years in Spanish basketball. Formed in the Real Madrid academy, he rose to the first team alongside George Karl and served as assistant to Zeljko Obradovic and Sergio Scariolo, winning a Liga ACB, a European League title, and two European Cups. After 18 seasons at the club, he coached the Spanish national teams at U14, U15, and U16 level, winning the silver medal at the U16 European Championship in 2022. He personally evaluates every player at Sport Change Project camps.
