& profile

We are not looking for the perfect player.
We are looking for the player ready to make the leap.

The question is not whether you are good. The question is whether you have the level, the attitude, and the conditions to adapt to the American college system and make the most of the opportunity.

Requirements

What we evaluate at the camp

Athletic level

Active federated competition in Spain. You don’t need to have played in Liga Femenina, but you do need real game experience. We assess technique, physicality, and tactical adaptability.

Age

Between 16 and 22 years old. American college eligibility has specific windows that determine which path is available in each case.

Academic level

American universities require a minimum academic standard. A genuine willingness to study in English is just as important as your level on the court.

Attitude and commitment

This is a life project, not just a sports one. We look for players with discipline, independence, and the capacity to sacrifice — to live and compete far from home.

Ideal profile

What helps and what doesn't

There is no perfect player, but there are attitudes and circumstances that make a real difference.

Players with a hunger to grow who understand that the process takes time and effort. Consistent competition, team mentality, an informed and supportive family, and a real willingness to learn English and adapt to a new culture.

Expectations that don’t match your actual level, little willingness to study or learn English, lack of competitive consistency, or families expecting Sport Change Project to manage the entire process.

Age matters

The three windows of the process

16–18

Ideal window

Maximum eligibility margin. Time for Junior College and a later transfer to a 4-year NCAA program. The most complete route available.

19–21

Viable window

Access to Junior College or direct entry to NCAA depending on level. The process is tighter but completely real.

22+

Case by case

Options narrow significantly. Depends on profile, level, and academic background. Requires specific analysis before the camp.

FAQ

What players ask us most

Do I need to speak English to join the camp?

Not for the development camp. But it is essential for studying and competing in the US, so a genuine willingness to learn is non-negotiable.

What if I am 23 years old?

Contact us before signing up. Options are more limited but not nonexistent. Ángel Jareño reviews each case individually.

Do individual statistics matter?

They are a starting point, not the main criteria. What matters most is how you compete in person during the camp and the Showcase.

Does my family need to be on board?

Yes, and it is important they are informed from the start. If a university makes an offer, they are the ones who negotiate directly with the institution.
